Customer-Service Manager Job Description

The Customer-Service Manager is a full-time position.  The candidate is responsible for providing direction and leadership to a diverse group of sales staff. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Ensure all staff have the knowledge, skills and motivation to reach goals
  • Ensure good communication between sales and service staff
  • Provide a clean, organized and welcoming sales environment for customers and staff at all times
  • Assist where needed with events and promotions
  • Help maintain a positive work environment
  • Be an ambassador within the community
  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience

  • Minimum of two years working in a sales-focused business
  • You do not necessarily need to have prior bicycle retail experience, but you must be willing to learn about bicycles, cycling accessories, and cycling culture.

  • Exemplary customer-service skills
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to effectively present information and answer questions
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Passionate about bicycling as well as promoting the benefits of a cycling lifestyle and culture
  • Motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Eagerness to expand knowledge base
